Speelbare clans in een notendop
In Haarlem zijn er 7 speelbare clans waar je uit kan kiezen. Allen hebben ze hun eigen kracht, zwakheden en eigenaardigheden. Hieronder vind je een samenvatting van elke clan zodat je een idee krijgt wie onze vreemde wereld bewonen.
Brujah
Clan of the Wise… or so they say. Clan Brujah is a clan of two things: idealism and rebellion. Built up of two unofficial “factions”, the iconoclasts and the idealists, many say this clan has fallen from grace. Iconoclasts are often young, defined by their rebellion against the system of the old guard. Idealists are often older, defined by their stubborn attitude and intellectual tendencies. Both sides of the Brujah coin care deeply about the state of their society, and wish to change it to fit their vision. In nightly unlife, they are plagued by their anger: their clan’s Bane is their violent temper, often displayed by a tendency to frenzy at what others would call minor inconvenience.
Nosferatu
Clan Nosferatu is also known as Clan of the Hidden, and as an insult used behind their back ‘sewerrats’.
Every Kindred carries a great evil inside, also known as the beast. And for the members of Clan Nosferatu this shows on the outside, giving them a morbid, twisted and hideous look. Because of this they are always at war with Clan Toreador, who covet beauty above all. The full transformation of a Nosferatu can take hours to several weeks, and due to the body morphing into new features this process is awfully painful. Most embraces fail, killing the creature in the process, or damaging them so severely that nothing is left but a mindless monster incapable of high intelligence which can only be controlled by the clan itself. Because of this cruel embrace, it sometimes used as punishment on ghouls.
Because a Nosferatu wears their beast on the outside, you will find that they are the most human Clan of all, often keeping their humanity close. But beware when they lose their cool; a Nosferatu is not a force to be trifled with as they share the same strength as the Brujah.
These hideous Kindred make their home in every underground they can find, including sewers. Hence the insulting (but often very true) nickname. These undergrounds are mazes in which very few but the Hidden themselves can navigate their ways. When they invite you to their homes it’s up to you if you enter, and it’s up to them if you leave.
Nosferatu are masters in dealing with information. The Internet which humans use is their creation, and combined with their skills to hide in plain sight, they can acquire a lot of valuable information. Of course they sell the information, and it’s up to you if you want to pay the price for this. Or maybe you have something to sell to them?
